1. What this document is
A Statement of Work (SOW) is the project-specific contract. It sits under the Master Services Agreement and, on conflict, controls it. Nothing starts without one. Every SOW is numbered from a project reference, for example SOW-JA-2026-014, and every later document cites it.
2. Header block
- Project reference —
JA-2026-NNN - Client legal name, addresses for notices, and a named decision-maker
- Developer: Jon-Andrew Martin, 602 Lampton Ln, McAlester, OK 74501
- SOW number, date of issue, and a 14-day validity
- Package name and price, or a bespoke scope with the same field set
3. Deliverables
Each deliverable carries an ID and an observable outcome, so acceptance is a check rather than an opinion.
D1— Home template, responsive at 390/768/1440pxD2— Inner-page template reusing D1 componentsD3— Contact form delivering to the nominated inboxD4— Meta titles, descriptions, and sitemap presentD5— Deployment to the nominated domain over HTTPS
4. Caps and exclusions
The SOW restates the package caps (pages, templates, endpoints, products, hours, revision rounds) and lists exclusions. Work past a cap is billed at the published add-on price under a change order.
5. Client inputs and dependencies
- Final copy per page, and images with grantable rights
- Access by invitation, least privilege
- One decision-maker and consolidated feedback inside each window
- Content due date, which the start of work depends on
6. Acceptance test
A milestone is accepted when a written acceptance record is issued against the definition of done, when the Client progresses to the next milestone, or when five (5) business days pass after delivery without a written non-conformity notice — whichever happens first. Each acceptance is numbered ACR-JA-2026-NNN-M#.
7. Schedule and milestones
Milestones carry dates and amounts. Unless varied here, the schedule is 50% on signature and 50% on acceptance, or 40/40/20 on work of $3,000 or more. Timing runs from deposit and the due content date, not from signature alone.
8. Fees, invoicing, and references
Total fee, currency, tax treatment, and invoice numbers. Invoices are numbered INV-JA-2026-NNN-M# and carry the invoice number as the payment reference. Accepted methods are stated on each invoice; card is offered at no surcharge. Receipts are numbered RCP-JA-2026-NNN-M#. See how payment works.
9. Cancellation
Earned milestones stay payable plus the staged cancellation fee in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. A project dormant for 21 days may be paused; a restart may carry a $150 fee.
10. Third-party costs
Hosting, domains, licences, provider fees, and (for shops) the merchant account are the Client's, in the Client's name, unless listed here as included.
11. Special terms and signature
Any project-specific variation goes here. Both parties sign and date; the SOW takes effect on the later signature. A sample block:
