Refund & cancellation policy

The project agreement sets the specific schedule. This policy explains the baseline for web development services.

Effective date:

1. Before work begins

There is no charge for a project inquiry or proposal. A project becomes binding only when the client and Developer sign a Statement of Work. If the client cancels after signing but before work begins, any payment already collected will be returned, less any non-cancellable third-party cost that was specifically disclosed and approved in writing.

2. After work begins

Once work has commenced, the initial deposit is non-refundable, except where the signed Statement of Work or applicable law provides otherwise. If a client ends a project for convenience, the client remains responsible for work performed through the termination date and third-party costs already approved in writing. Any prepaid amount above those earned or committed charges will be reconciled and refunded.

Fees for milestones already completed and accepted are not refundable. If a delivered milestone materially fails to match the signed scope, the Developer will have a reasonable opportunity to correct it. If the issue is not corrected, the client may receive a refund for the portion attributable to the non-conforming work, subject to the agreement and mandatory law.

3. Monthly maintenance

Maintenance is billed monthly by invoice; this website does not start an automatic card subscription. A client may cancel future service periods by written notice. Charges already due for work performed, an active service period, or approved third-party costs remain subject to the applicable agreement. Unused monthly hours do not carry forward unless the written agreement says otherwise.

4. How to request a cancellation or refund

Email contact@jon-andrew.com with your name, invoice number, project, and the requested change. Do not include payment-card or bank credentials. The Developer will confirm the request and any amount due or refundable in writing. Melio processes payments but does not decide the service scope or refund entitlement; any approved refund is arranged by the Developer using an available method.

5. Legal rights

This policy does not exclude or reduce consumer rights, warranties, or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable law. If a signed SOW grants a more specific right, that written term applies to the project. See also the Master Services Agreement and Terms of Service.
